Colton Dixon is no longer on American Idol, but his song "Never Gone" was recently covered by a top ten finalist on that same show that first brought him into the limelight. Angie Miller took the song and infused it with her own style, drawing praises from Dixon himself a few days ago.
Dixon tweeted, "@AngieAI12 just killed "never gone". I'm beyond proud. #speechless#incredible"
Angie tweeted back, "@coltondixon such a HUGE pleasure singing your song!! Hope you had a great night watching it =) Thanks for the support, man!!#ImAMessenger"
This very song has skyrocketed on iTunes Christian and Gospel charts, taking the #1 spot recently. His album "A Messenger" is also #1 on the top Christian album category.
Dixon has always been a fan favorite on American Idol and has gained a strong following since then. Breaking into the Christian music scene, Dixon was welcomed with arms wide open by other veteran artists in that specific industry.
One of the more veteran Christian rock bands, Third Day, has taken Dixon on with them for their "The Miracle Tour." From February 21, 2013, the musicians including Third Day featuring Dixon and Josh Wilson started the adventure of touring through 45 cities.
The group even caught on to the "Harlem Shake" hype and rocked the viral dance moves on stage with all their fans.

Jessica Sanchez unveils the cover for her debut album titled Me, You and The Music. The American Idol runner-up is set to release her highly-anticipated record on May 7.
She’s about to drop her first single, “Tonight,” a duet with Ne-Yo, any day now! The singer filmed the music video for the song last week. Busy Jessica is also ready to begin her arc on the FOX musical comedy, Glee.
I like the photography–it’s very modern and youthful. But the album name? Is that a nod to her fans who have been waiting and waiting for new music?
