Arnel Pineda - What Is He Doing Right Now ~ 2013

This discussion thread is part two of the discussion thread with the same title.

It will focus on interesting activities of Arnel Pineda in the year 2011.

I would like to start with the farewell gig by Arnel Pineda at Rockville on January 26, 2011. Many of those who attended the occasion uploaded an astounding amount of videos on YouTube. I will be posting selected videos and I encourage everyone to post as well.

The video that caught my attention most was the one where Arnel Pineda performed Simon & Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Waters." It had been the inspirational song for me for the longest time ~ from my youth up to now.

That Arnel Pineda is singing it made this almost a gospel song all the more inspirational to me.

Where are the Plokkers who contributed to this thread??? Plokkers everywhere, Please contribute !!  When I first became a member I went to this thread first every time I logged on. It seemed to be the most active thread.  Of all the threads, this seemed the best to get to know Arnel, and to get to know fellow Plokkers from all over the world.  It seems a good thread for new members to start. Journey is in the UK today. Tita Pat, come back!

Hi Kathy!

 

My apologies. There are no excuses.  Just me trying to cope with realities of making a living. 

Also, I spent what little spare time I had in between three jobs in the garden.  I needed to commune a lot with nature to have inner peace despite the chaos in the outside world.

 

But now that the garden is too wet and cold, I am returning to my old coping mechanism - writing and blogging.  Though I did not contribute much for the past months, this forum remains to be my refuge.  Let me make up for my long absence from this thread. 

 

Thanks for your friendship!  This goes the same with Ningning - Hello there!  You are a great contributor to the forum along with the most active ones - Gijoe, needlesstosay, ambassador2, MistyBlu, and Ernie.

On November 10, 2011, Arnel Pineda and family visited Hongkong for a much needed vacation.  This was mentioned in the article below posted by Jan Yumul at the website

Nomer Limatog is a 'Protege' by Rachel Ann Go.  Last Summer of 2010, Rachel Ann was with Arnel Pineda and the Ammo Band for a concert tour last summer of 2010.  "Protege" is a singing contest at the TV station GMA and one of the judges is Bert de Leon.  In a way, Arnel Pineda is a protege of Bert de Leon.

yes!!! at long last, Arnel in GMA KAPUSO! I love to see Arnel in GMA Shows,  especially in Protege or Party Pilipinas. Arnel should be with the best talents of GMA like Manny Pacquiao, Regine Velasquez, Ogie Alcasid, Vic Sotto . It's high time for Arnel to have a weekly show in Gma, I love to see him singing tagalog songs, his voice is very soothing, a voice of an angel. Anyway, he can sing any song in every genre. It is also a good promotion of their album Eclipse with Journey. Congratulations in their very successful world tour concerts . Way to go Arnel, soo proud of you, mabuhay ang Pinoy!!! just take care of your health, it's almost a hundred shows /concert, soo you need to get rest , your body and voice. In time for your next year concerts , again!!!God bless you and your family.

 I missed the actual airing of "Protege."

I have plans to "spy" on him but am too busy with work...work...work....which consumes even my

evenings and it'll be like this  up to December 20, 2011. Haaayy yay yay!!!

Thanks P.G.F. for posting the video. This thread is dedicated to fans like me who love watching Arnel Pineda in other shows and appearances outside his stint with Journey. Contributions like yours are very much appreciated.

Yeah ~ we need someone to do the "translation." Better still, I would request for someone to make another copy of the video rhen add captions.
