PHILIPPINE ARENA -" THE WORLD LARGEST DOMED ARENA" THE ONE AND ONLY OF ITS KIND!!!

The whole project is Ciudad de Victoria, it is situated in Bocaue & Sta. Maria province of Bulacan.

The anchor project for Ciudad de Victoria will be the Philippine Arena, a 50,000+ seating capacity Arena primarily designed
for religious gathering second for performing arts (concert) and sports activities. Unlike the Araneta Coliseum it's stage, court or ring will be located on the side and not at the center. It's total height will be less than 60meters from it's 1st level.

Ciudad de Victoria will also be composed of the following:

New Era University Sports Complex with a seating capacity of 10,000 seats an an additional 10,000 (on grounds) total of 20,000 for open religious activities.

EGM Medical Center, a 520+ bed hospital, around 9-storeys.
And the New Era University College of Medicine as a start, but in the future there are plans of putting all the colleges in there.

The primary goal of Ciudad de Victoria is to serve as spot for tourism, it will be like a park and will have support structures such as hotel accomodation during events, commercial areas, residential etc, etc.

Not all parts of Ciudad de Victoria is owned by Iglesia Ni Cristo, some of the areas will be developed by a group of leading real estate developers.

Hanwha Engineering and Construction Corp. began work on the world's largest domed arena in the Philippines on Thursday.

The work for the $175 million contract, signed on Aug. 4, got underway in a ceremony attended by Hanwha E & C officials including vice chairman Kim Hyun-chung and those from the Filipino Christian organization Iglesia Ni Cristo that issued the contract.

The facility located near Manila, named the Philippine Arena, will be fitted with 50,000 seats and its domed roof will be nearly 36,000 square meters, making it the world's largest domed arena, the company said.

Hanwha E & C said that the work will be carried out over 30 months to be finished early 2014.

"By winning this contract for building the world's largest dome arena, the company was able to prove its technological capabilities and the ability to carry out overseas projects," Kim said in a statement. The company said that in the biddings for the contract, it competed with China's Jiangsu International and the Philippines' largest construction company EEI Corp. The project will be conducted in design-build process in which the contractor is responsible for all related processes from designing to building the facility, the company said.

And also, look at the bright side,, it will create more Jobs for Filipino people,..... next thing the goverment need to concentrate and work on is to control populations, so many poor families, cant even feed thier children pero panay parin ang gawa, sus mio... un controllable population na talaga,

also, if they can build an empire building for recreations and ways to make more money, why not make a decent living quarters for the poor people?, and then maybe they will be the heroes and heroine in the future, in my opinion Id rather be called hero now while i am alive than dead, lol.I know that would not matter, They are filthy rich, yay.... and also when those rich people dies, maybe they go to heaven.. one thing i know for sure, they cant bring thier billions of dollars into heaven,, LOL.. Populous builds world's largest arena

It's another way of GOD's-giving inspiration to the members of the Church of Christ (Iglesia Ni Cristo) onwards to shining each ones light...lights of the world. May we all then be humble always as God will never forsake but fulfill His promisses to the Church. Glory be to our everloving GOD...

Record breaking civic facility begins journey to realisation in the Philippines

Construction has commenced on the world’s largest indoor arena in Manila, in the Philippines, designed by the international architecture firm, Populous. In a ground breaking ceremony held last week, the arena design was described as a ‘phenomenal structure’.

The 50,000 seat indoor stadium at Ciudad de Victoria, with a construction value of AUD $200m, has been commissioned by the respected Philippine religion, Iglesia Ni Cristo (the Church of Christ) and will be complete in time for the Church’s Centennial Celebration in 2014. Populous has designed the arena with engineers Buro Happold, and construction will be carried out by Hanwha Engineering and Construction Corp.

Project Director, Populous Senior Principal Andrew James, said: “The building’s capacity pushes the boundary of Arena design and will eventually establish itself as the world’s largest indoor arena. The form uses simple geometry to create an elegant appearance, while also giving the venue a powerful presence within its setting.”

The arena has been master planned to enable a further 50,000 people to gather at a “live site” outside the arena, to share in major events. While the arena will hold major church gatherings, it will also operate as a multi‐use sports and concert venue, capable of holding a range of events, from boxing and basketball, to live music performances.
