The Arrows recorded the first released version of "I Love Rock n Roll"in 1975. The song was later made famous by the hit version recorded by Joan Jett & the Blackhearts in 1981.

More recently, the song was covered by female pop superstars including Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus, and Miranda Lambert.
